๐Getting Started
How do I create a game room?
Click 'Create Room' on the homepage, enter your name, choose grid size (4x4 to 10x10), set the maximum number of players (2-6), and you'll get a unique room code to share with friends.
How do I join a friend's game?
Get the room code from your friend, click 'Join Room' on the homepage, enter the room code and your name, and you'll be added to their waiting room.
Can I play without creating an account?
Yes! Our game is completely free and doesn't require any registration. Just enter your name and start playing immediately.
What's the best grid size for beginners?
We recommend starting with a 4x4 or 5x5 grid. These are perfect for learning the game mechanics and strategies without being overwhelming.
๐ฎGameplay
How long does each turn last?
Each player has 10 seconds to make their move. If you don't move within the time limit, your turn is automatically skipped.
What happens if I complete a square?
Great job! When you complete a square by drawing its fourth side, you claim that square and get an extra turn. You can chain multiple squares together!
Can I undo a move?
No, moves cannot be undone once made. This keeps the game fair and strategic. Take your time to think before clicking!
What happens if someone disconnects?
Players can rejoin the same game if they disconnect. If a player doesn't return after 3 skipped turns, they're removed from the game. The game continues with remaining players.
How do I win the game?
The player who completes the most squares wins! The game ends when all possible squares have been completed. In case of a tie, all tied players share the victory.
๐ฅMultiplayer Features
How many people can play at once?
2-6 players can join a single game. The host decides the maximum number of players when creating the room. We recommend 2-4 players for the best experience.
Can I chat with other players?
Yes! There's a real-time chat feature available during both the waiting room and gameplay. Click the chat button to open it.
What happens if the host leaves?
If the host leaves, the second player automatically becomes the new host. The game continues normally with all the same features.
Can friends join a game that's already started?
Yes! Friends can join ongoing games if there's still space available. They'll start with 0 points, but if they had played before and left, their previous score will be restored.
Is there a spectator mode?
Currently, all players in a room participate in the game. We may add spectator features in future updates based on user feedback.
๐งTechnical Support
Does it work on mobile phones?
Absolutely! The game is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices, tablets, and desktop computers. Touch controls work perfectly on mobile.
Which browsers are supported?
The game works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and mobile browsers. Make sure JavaScript is enabled.
Why am I experiencing lag or delays?
Lag is usually caused by slow internet connection. Try refreshing the page or checking your internet speed. The game uses minimal data for smooth gameplay.
What if I lose connection during a game?
The game will try to reconnect you automatically. If that fails, you can rejoin using the same room code and player name to continue where you left off.
Is my game progress saved?
Game state is temporarily saved in your browser while playing. If you refresh or rejoin, you'll return to the same game state. However, games are not permanently saved after completion.
๐ง Game Strategy & Tips
What's the best strategy for beginners?
Avoid drawing the third side of any square unless you absolutely have to! This prevents giving easy points to your opponents. Focus on drawing 'safe' lines that don't help others complete squares.
How do I create long chains of squares?
Advanced players can set up chains by creating multiple squares that share sides. When you complete one, you can immediately complete the connected ones for massive point gains!
Should I play aggressively or defensively?
It depends on the situation! Early game tends to be defensive (avoiding third lines), while endgame often becomes aggressive as players race to complete remaining squares.
What's the 'sacrifice strategy'?
Sometimes it's better to give your opponent a few squares early to maintain control of larger chain opportunities later in the game. This is an advanced technique!
